Discover the natural and cultural beauty of Serra da Estrela with this unique interpretive walking event, blending nature, history, and community spirit in Seia.

This interpretive walk is organized in association with the Granfondo Serra da Estrela and is open to residents and companions of Granfondo athletes. The 2026 edition takes place on June 28, starting and finishing in front of Seia's Town Hall. Expert guides from the Geopark Estrela Association accompany participants, offering an educational and enriching experience.

The circular route covers approximately 8.9 km with 380 meters of elevation gain and moderate difficulty, traversing rural and forest trails on the slopes of Seia, including points of interest such as Ribeira do Barbil, Ribeira de Vodra, Arrifana, and Aldeia da Serra.

The walk starts at 09:00, just after the Granfondo and Mediofondo races begin, with registration open at Seia Municipal Park on Saturday and Sunday morning. Participation is open to those aged 10 and above (minors must be accompanied by an adult and present a liability waiver).
