The XIX. Sorginen Lasterketa is an exciting mountain race held in the beautiful natural setting of Axpe, Atxondo, Bizkaia. Organized by Sorginen Lasterketa, this event offers a spectacular route through the Urkiola Natural Park, combining nature, challenge, and tradition in a unique experience for trail runners.

The course starts and finishes at Plaza San Juan in Axpe, crossing trails, forest tracks, and high mountain areas, including the summit of Anboto in the long race. The race takes place in a landscape of great scenic and cultural richness, challenging participants with significant elevation gains and stunning views.

• Long Race – 21 km · Start 09:30 · Elevation gain 1750 m · Cutoff at km 10 at 2h15min · Minimum age 18 · Max 350 participants
• Short Race – 11.7 km · Start 10:00 · Elevation gain 890 m · Minimum age 15 with authorization · Max 150 participants

⏰ Schedule

• October 2 (Friday): 18:30-20:30 — Bib pickup at Apatamonasterio school
• October 3 (Saturday): 18:00-19:30 — Bib pickup at Apatamonasterio school
• October 4 (Sunday):
  • 07:30-08:40 — Bib and bag drop for long race at Axpe society
  • 07:30-09:10 — Bib and bag drop for short race
  • 09:30 — Long race start
  • 10:00 — Short race start
  • 13:30 — Awards ceremony at Axpe plaza

🎽 Registration includes Bib, sports insurance, aid stations (4 in long race, 2 in short), trash bags, bag drop service, access to showers and shoe cleaning area.

🏆 Prizes

• Long race absolute: 1st (300€, txapela, trophy, 2027 invitation), 2nd (200€, trophy, invitation), 3rd (100€, trophy, invitation), 4th and 5th invitation.
• Special prize for Anboto climb (100€ for best time from Zabalandi).
• Veteran category: trophies, honey and cheese for top 3.
• Short race absolute: txapela and trophy for 1st, trophies for 2nd and 3rd.
• Meal for first Atxondo locals in both races.
