The 14th Caminha Long Distance Triathlon is a flagship event organized by the Municipality of Caminha and the Triathlon Association of Caminha, with technical support from the Portuguese Triathlon Federation. Taking place on July 19, 2026, it features the National Club Championship of Middle Distance Triathlon and an Open Standard Distance race, both allowing relay participation.

The race unfolds in a stunning setting with swimming in the Minho River, cycling on EN13 up to the A28, and running along the Minho River waterfront, offering a challenging and scenic course. The event is held on roads, with a point-to-point swim and out-and-back cycling and running segments.

• Open Race Standard Distance – 1.4 km swim | 45 km bike | 7 km run · Start 06:30 · Cutoff 14:20 · Born 2008 or earlier · Individual or mixed/single-gender relay

• 16:00-21:00 — Check-in, technical verification, equipment placement at Transition Area
• 19:30-20:00 — Briefing (optional) Sunday, July 19:
• 05:00-05:45 — Transition Area open for optional equipment placement
• 06:00 — Transition Area closes
• 06:30 — Open Race start
• 06:50 — National Club Championship start
• 07:50 — Swim course cutoff
• 12:20 — Bike course cutoff
• 12:30 — Check-out and equipment retrieval at Transition Area
• 14:20 — Race finish cutoff
• 14:45 — Awards ceremony near finish line

🎽 Registration includes Bib, personal accident insurance, solid and liquid refreshments (water, fruit, isotonic drinks, energy bars, gels), and a souvenir for all athletes.

🏆 Prizes Individual and team trophies for male and female categories including absolutes, juniors, age groups, and relays. Monetary prizes for top 5 male and female clubs in the National Championship, totaling €4,100 each.
