🌊 X Posidonia Race 2026 – Challenge the crystal-clear Mediterranean waters!

The 10th edition of the Posidonia Race takes place on October 4, 2026, in Sant Josep de sa Talaia, Balearic Islands. This open water swimming race offers a unique chance for swimmers to enjoy a stunning route around the islands of Es Vedrà and Es Vedranell, with full safety and professional organization.

The event is carefully organized with support boats, kayakers, insurance, and strict course control. The start is in the water, in front of Cala d’Hort beach, with a route that tests athletes’ endurance and technique.

🏊 Course and Terrain The 10 km race is a full loop around Es Vedrà and Es Vedranell islands, while the 5 km race covers the segment between Cala d’Hort beach and Es Vedranell island, returning to the start point. The course is marked with buoys and accompanied by kayakers to ensure safety. Use of a signaling buoy and whistle is mandatory, and swimmers must be self-sufficient for nutrition, either carrying supplies in their buoy or receiving from kayakers.

⏰ Schedule Sunday, October 4:

• 08:30-09:30 – Bib pickup and accreditation at Cala d’Hort beach
• 09:30 – Pre-race briefing
• 10:00 – Start of 10k and 5k races
• 14:00 – Awards ceremony at Cala d’Hort beach
