Vertical Costa Norte

🚀 Vertical Costa Norte 2026

The Vertical Costa Norte is a vertical kilometer race organized by Clube Naval de São Vicente in partnership with the Portuguese Federation of Camping and Mountaineering, supported by the São Vicente City Council and other institutions. It takes place on September 27, 2026, offering a unique skyrunning experience on the beautiful island of Madeira.

The race features a steep ascent of approximately 3.7 km with a positive elevation gain of 840 meters, starting at Igreja do Rosário in São Vicente (300m altitude) and finishing at Levada da Ribeira do Inferno (1,135m altitude). The course is predominantly uphill, with a 2.5-hour time limit.
