Discover the natural beauty of Flores Island while challenging your limits in the 5th edition of the Queijo da Fajãzinha Trail, an event that blends adventure, nature, and Azorean tradition.

Organized by Atlético Clube Fajã Grande in partnership with Queijaria do Pico Redondo and the Fajãzinha parish council, this sporting event takes place on October 10, 2026, offering a unique trail running and walking experience across century-old trails and stunning island locations.

The courses consist mainly of rural paths, trails, forest roads, and some paved sections, providing close contact with nature and breathtaking landscapes including lagoons, waterfalls, and the famous Rocha dos Bordões. Start and finish locations vary by race, notably the Santa Cruz das Flores Airport and Largo do Rossio in Fajãzinha.

The event is semi-self-sufficient with liquid and solid aid stations and strict time controls to ensure safety and smooth race progress.

• Oct 5-8: Registration desk open 17:00-19:00 in Santa Cruz das Flores
• Oct 9: Briefing at 18:00 in Aldeia da Cuada
• Oct 10 (race day):
  • 07:30: Registration opens at Largo do Rossio, Fajãzinha
  • 07:30: TQF42 start (Santa Cruz das Flores Airport)
  • 08:00: Transfer for 21 km race (Largo do Rossio)
  • 09:30: TQF21 start (Junta de Freguesia do Lajedo)
  • 10:30: TQF11 start (Largo do Rossio)
  • 10:40: Kids race start
  • 11:00: Walk start
  • 13:00: Expected arrival of first finishers
  • 14:00: Awards ceremony and communal lunch (Largo do Rossio)
