Discover the magic of Izki Natural Park while pushing your limits at the V. Izki Trail, a trail running race celebrating nature and local culture in Apellaniz.

Organized by the non-profit Cultural Association Karrantan – Oskarbi, this race aims to promote cultural, recreational, and sporting traditions, as well as preserve the historical and natural heritage of Apellaniz and its surroundings. The race is unique as it takes place 100% within Izki Natural Park, boosting the local economy and community, with proceeds dedicated to environmental preservation.

The course runs almost entirely through Izki Natural Park, featuring beech and chestnut forests, with start and finish at Gerardo Lopez de Guereñu Square in Apellaniz. There are two trail running distances with different elevation gains and estimated times, with well-marked aid stations and checkpoints.

  • 13:30 – Awards ceremony
