🚵‍♂️ Trail do Chapeleiro 2026 – Challenge yourself in the nature of São João da Madeira!

The 4th edition of Trail do Chapeleiro takes place on September 6, 2026, organized by the São João da Madeira City Council, Parish Council, and Os Pupilos Do ZÉ-TÓ. This unique race runs through trails, paths, and hills, starting and finishing at the Rio Ul Urban Park, passing near neighboring municipalities Santa Maria da Feira and Oliveira de Azeméis.

The main race is a 13 km trail with 250 m elevation gain, perfect for those who love technical trails and natural scenery. For a more relaxed activity, there is a 7 km walk with 80 m elevation gain, and for kids, a 1 km Trail Kids with 10 m elevation gain. All start and finish at Rio Ul Urban Park in a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere.

Semi-self-sufficient race with solid and liquid aid stations; athletes must bring their own cup for hydration. Mobile phone is mandatory for safety, and extra gear like thermal blanket and windbreaker is recommended.

⏰ Schedule September 5 (Saturday): 14:00-19:00 – Bib pickup (location to be announced) September 6 (Sunday): 07:00-08:30 – Bib pickup at Rio Ul Urban Park 08:45 – Trail Kids start 09:00 – Trail 13 km start 09:05 – Walk start 11:15 – Awards ceremony 13:30 – Event close

🎽 Registration includes Bib, personal accident insurance, solid and liquid aid, technical t-shirt (for registrations until 08/24), chip for 13 km Trail, showers, snack and drink.

🏆 Prizes Finisher medal for all who complete the Trail. Cash prizes for top 3 overall and age categories. Trophies for top 3 in each category and teams. Fernando Pessoa hat for overall winners. Prize draws for Trail and Walk participants.
