🏔️ Trail do Cerco 2026 in Celorico da Beira

The 4th Trail do Cerco takes place on September 13, 2026, organized by the Municipality of Celorico da Beira with technical support from AVCAT - Vila Chã Aldeia Trail Association of Portugal. This is the 7th stage of the Beira Alta Trail Circuit - VI(r)VER BEIRA ALTA and part of the annual Santa Eufemia festivities.

The routes run mostly on trails, rural paths, dirt roads, and streams around nearby villages, starting and finishing near Jardim Santa Eufêmia. The event includes a Long Trail (~24 km, 700m elevation gain), Short Trail (~14 km, 450m elevation gain), Mini Trail (~9 km, 200m elevation gain), and a recreational Walk (~9 km).

Semi-self-sufficient races with solid and liquid aid stations, but no cups — athletes must carry their own water container.

• 13:00 — Course closes
• 14:30 — Awards ceremony

🎽 Registration includes sports insurance, bib (except walk), solid and liquid refreshments, lunch, trophies and medals for finishers, finisher gift, and event souvenir.

🏆 Prizes Trophies for top 3 overall M/F in Long, Short, and Mini Trails; diplomas for 4th and 5th overall; medals for top 3 by age group M/F in the Youth Circuit.
