🚶🏃 Thomar Urban Race 2026

Thomar Urban Race is a unique urban race blending sport, culture, and community spirit in the historic city of Tomar. Organized by Thomar Events, this inaugural edition takes place on October 17, 2026, as part of the iconic Feira de Santa Iria, promoting physical activity and local heritage discovery.

The main race is an approximately 15 km urban trail passing landmarks like the Templar Castle and Pegões Aqueduct, finishing at Praça da República. The 5 km walk offers a lighter experience suitable for all. The course has medium difficulty with strategically placed liquid and solid refreshment stations.

⏰ Schedule

• Friday: 18:00 – 22:00 — Bib pickup (Praça da República, City Hall arcades)
• Saturday: 10:00 – 16:00 — Bib pickup
• 17:00 — Walk start
• 17:30 — Main race start
• 20:00 — Awards ceremony (Praça da República)
• 20:30 — Official race closing

🎽 Registration includes Official bib with chip, sports insurance, athlete bag, official t-shirt, finisher medal, liquid and solid refreshments, access to showers, liability insurance, and partner gifts.

🏆 Prizes Trophies for top 3 male and female finishers, top 3 per age group, top 3 teams, and largest team. Monetary prizes of €150, €100, and €50 for top 3 overall M/F. Strava segments reward fastest male and female athletes in 3 course segments.
