🏔️ Terra de Gigantes 2027 – An epic ultra trail running challenge in Portugal!

Terra de Gigantes is an ultra-distance trail running event organized by Horizontes Turismo Desportivo e Viagens and Associação Interior Convida. The 2027 edition takes place from January 14 to 17, starting at Torre da Serra da Estrela. This unique race challenges experienced athletes to cross Portugal from East to West, from the highest point in the country to the famous Nazaré beach known for its gigantic waves.

The course covers approximately 304 km with 11,123 meters of elevation gain, to be completed non-stop within a 74-hour limit. The route passes stunning natural landscapes including Serra da Estrela, Aldeias do Xisto, Aldeias Históricas, Serra do Açor, and Caminhos de Fé, finishing at Nazaré. The race is semi-self-supported with aid stations and requires GPS navigation experience.

🎽 Registration includes Bib, personal accident and liability insurance, drop bags for aid stations, medical assistance and supplies at all bases, transport from Seia to Torre da Serra da Estrela, finisher prize, celebration party, official event gift.

🏆 Prizes Awards for top 3 male and female finishers. All finishers receive a finisher prize. No monetary prizes.
