Experience the magic of sunset in a unique trail run and walk in Afife, Viana do Castelo! Organized by Associação Desportiva Afifense, this recreational event invites you to explore rural trails and paths at dusk.

The Sunset Trail de Afife takes place on September 12, 2026, featuring two distinct events: a 16 km trail run and an 8 km walk, both starting and finishing at the Pavilhão Municipal David Freitas in Afife. The course crosses the parishes of Afife, Outeiro, and Carreço, offering a natural and challenging environment.

The route is marked with orange ribbons and signs, and participants must follow the markings and road code as there are crossings with open traffic. This is a recreational event without timing, and appropriate footwear and carrying a liquid container, whistle, mobile phone, and survival blanket for the trail are recommended.

• 13:00 – Registration opens (Pavilhão Municipal David Freitas)

• 19:00 – Walk start
• 19:15 – Trail start
