🚀 48th São João das Lampas Half Marathon 2026

The iconic São João das Lampas Half Marathon celebrates its 48th edition on September 12, 2026, organized by the Sports Dynamization Group with support from the São João das Lampas Parish Council and Sintra City Hall. This is Portugal's second oldest half marathon, known for its challenging and winding course that attracts passionate and experienced runners.

The 21.097 km route starts and finishes in São João das Lampas, passing through picturesque locations such as A-do-Longo, Areias, Alvarinhos, Odrinhas, Amoreira, Monte Arroio, Bolelas, Sacário, Pernigem, Fachada, Chilreira, Codiceira, Ribeira de Rio de Cões, and Alfaquiques. The race is held on roads with refreshment stations at 5, 10, 15, and 20 km, and strict controls to ensure fair competition.
