🚀 II Aquathlon Merelim São Paio 2026

The II Aquathlon Merelim São Paio takes place on September 13, 2026, organized by the Union of Parishes of Merelim São Paio, Panóias and Parada de Tibães, with technical support from the Portuguese Triathlon Federation. This event includes the Northern Championship Absolute and Youth, plus open races for all ages.

Races are held in the beautiful Braga region, with swimming at the Merelim São Paio River Beach, a marked circular course in the Cávado River, and running on a dirt trail bike path along the river’s south bank, offering a natural and challenging setting for athletes of all levels.

• Youth Aquathlon – Distances adapted by youth category · Start 15:00 · Categories from Benjamins to Cadets
• Super-Sprint Aquathlon – Juvenile distances · Start 15:00 · Open to born 2008 and earlier
• Sprint Aquathlon Individual – Sprint distance (750m swim + 5km run) · Start 15:00 · Open to born 2010 and earlier
• Sprint Aquathlon Relay – Sprint distance relay with 2 participants · Start 15:00

⏰ Schedule Sunday, September 13:

• 13:30–14:30 — Registration desk (Merelim São Paio River Beach)
• 13:40–14:40 — Check-in and technical verification at Transition Park
• 14:45 — Transition Park closes
• 14:45 — Technical Delegate meeting with coaches
• 15:00 — Race start by categories and gender
• 18:00 — Check-out and equipment collection at Transition Park
• 18:30 — Awards ceremony

🎽 Registration includes Bib, personal accident insurance, solid and liquid refreshments at finish and recovery area.

🏆 Prizes Individual trophies for top 3 male and female per category in all races, team and relay trophies.
