Discover the natural beauty and challenge of the I Trail Battle of Trancoso, taking place on May 31, 2026, in Trancoso, Guarda! Organized by Grupo Desportivo de Trancoso in partnership with the Municipality of Trancoso, this event is the 4th stage of the Beira Alta Trail Circuit 2026.

The course runs through trails, rural roads, and dirt tracks in mountainous terrain with significant elevation changes, offering a unique experience for trail running and nature lovers. The start and finish are located in Trancoso, with semi-self-sufficient races where each athlete must carry their own water container.

• Long Trail – ±25 km · Start 09:00 · Cutoff 4h30 · 18+ years
• Short Trail – ±15 km · Start 09:15 · Cutoff 3h · 18+ years (minors up to 14 allowed with responsibility waiver)
• Mini Trail – ±10 km · Start 09:20 · Open to 11+ years with responsibility waiver
• Walk – ±10 km · Start 09:20 · Recreational participation

⏰ Schedule

• May 30: 15:00-18:00 – Registration at Pavilhão Multiusos de Trancoso
• May 31: 07:30 – Registration opens 08:50 – Registration closes / Briefing 09:00 – Long Trail start 09:15 – Short Trail start 09:20 – Mini Trail and Walk start 12:00 – Lunch begins 12:15 – Short race closes 13:30 – Long race closes and awards ceremony

🎽 Registration includes Sports insurance, bib (except walk), solid and liquid refreshments, trophies and medals for classified athletes, finisher and event souvenirs.

🏆 Prizes Trophies for top 3 overall M/F in Long, Short and Mini Trail; diplomas for 4th and 5th overall; medals for top 3 by category in Mini Trail.
