🏃 Egas Moniz Race 2026 - A festive running event in Paço de Sousa!

The 3rd edition of the Egas Moniz Race takes place on June 28, 2026, organized by Futebol Clube de Paço de Sousa. This solidarity event promotes sports practice, health and quality of life, with part of the fees supporting the Paço de Sousa Volunteer Firefighters and the organizing football club.

The races start and finish near the Mosteiro do Salvador de Paço de Sousa, featuring urban courses of 5 km and 10 km for running and a 5 km solidarity walk open to all, non-competitive.

⏰ Schedule June 27: 10:00 – 12:00 and 14:00 – 20:00 — Kit pickup at Paço de Sousa Volunteer Firefighters' Noble Hall June 28: 07:00 – 08:00 — Kit pickup near start/finish area 08:30 — Athlete gathering 09:00 — Start of races and walk 11:00 — Finish line closes

🎽 Registration includes Disposable chip bib, technical t-shirt, sports insurance, refreshments, participation medal, snack (pork sandwich and drink), diploma, and massage possibility.

🏆 Prizes Trophies for top 3 in each category (Seniors and Veterans M/F) in 5 km and 10 km races. Monetary prizes for top 3 overall M/F in each race:

• 10 km: 1st €300, 2nd €150, 3rd €75
• 5 km: 1st €120, 2nd €60, 3rd €25 €70 prize for best performing team and trophy for largest team.
