Corrida das Areias

🏃 XIV Corrida das Areias 2026 – São Jacinto, Aveiro

The 14th edition of Corrida das Areias takes place on July 12, 2026, organized by Infantry Regiment No. 10 with technical support from Ria Ativa. This iconic race offers a 12 km challenge with a unique course including a run on São Jacinto Beach, delivering an unforgettable experience.

The race starts and finishes at Infantry Regiment No. 10, near Casa da Guarda, running along the marginal, Ria Mar avenue, the beach, and RI10 facilities. A solidarity walk runs simultaneously, open to all.

During the race, runners have access to three liquid refreshment stations and must keep their bib visible for electronic control and disqualification if rules are broken. The maximum time to finish is 2h30.

⏰ Schedule

• Saturday, July 11: Bib pickup from 14:00 to 18:00 (location to be announced)
• Sunday, July 12: Bib pickup from 07:30 at RI10
• Race start at 10:00
• Estimated finish at 12:00
• Race closes at 13:00
• Awards ceremony at 12:30

🎽 Registration includes Bib, personal accident insurance, liquid and solid refreshments, commemorative t-shirt, and finisher medal.

🏆 Prizes Trophies for the top 3 male and female finishers in each age group, free registration for the next edition for first place in each category, trophies for youngest and oldest athletes.
