Freedom Run KIDS

🏃‍♂️🚸 Freedom Run KIDS 2026 Celebrate April 25th with the Freedom Run KIDS in Vila Nova da Barquinha! A sports and recreational event for all ages, specially designed for kids, with adapted races and lots of fun.

Organized by the Municipality of Vila Nova da Barquinha, this event is a celebration of freedom and sport including races for children and youth, as well as adult races, in a morning full of energy and camaraderie.

Races take place on roads and urban paths, starting and finishing at the Vila Nova da Barquinha Cultural Center, with transport to the 10,000m start at Almourol Castle. The 10,000m race features electronic chip timing and mandatory control points, ensuring safety and accuracy.

⏰ Schedule April 24:

• 09:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 19:00 – Bib pick-up for 10,000m and walk at the Cultural Center

April 25:

• 08:00 – Secretariat opens
• 08:20 – Athletes gather for 10,000m near Cultural Center
• 08:30 – Transport to start at Almourol Castle
• 09:15 – 10,000m briefing
• 09:25 – Walk participants gather
• 09:30 – Start of 10,000m and walk
• 10:50 – Gathering for kids races
• 11:00 to 12:30 – Kids races
• 13:00 – Awards ceremony (planned)

🎽 Registration includes Disposable chip bib for 10,000m, sports insurance, liquid refreshments, medal for all participants, trophies for top 3 in each age group.
