🚵‍♂️ Basatrail Mountain Race 2026

Welcome to the first edition of Basatrail, a new trail race born in Santiagomendi that combines mountain, sport, and local identity. Set in a stunning natural environment, this race aims to offer a unique experience to all runners, with nature and a friendly atmosphere as the main highlights.

For this inaugural edition, two routes are available, adapted to different levels and challenges: 8 km (430 m positive elevation) and 17 km (760 m positive elevation). The start and finish are at Astigarraga's Foru Plaza, with trails exploring hidden corners of Santiagomendi and Markesbaso.

The courses will be well marked, with solid and liquid aid stations along the way. Runners are recommended to carry a hydration bottle and a cup. In case of bad weather, a thermal blanket may be requested.

• 08:00–09:00 – Bib pickup (Foru Plaza, Astigarraga)
• 09:30 – Long route start
• 10:00 – Short route start
