17th Edition Francisco Lázaro Race Bairro de Benfica

🚀 The iconic Francisco Lázaro Race returns to Benfica on April 18, 2026, organized by the Benfica Parish Council and Clube Futebol Benfica with technical support from Xistarca. This race honors the legendary Portuguese athlete Francisco Lázaro, a member of Portugal's first Olympic team in 1912. Run through historic streets of Benfica and enjoy the fresh air of Monsanto Park, finishing with a lively post-race party.

The course runs through emblematic urban streets of Benfica, starting at Rua General Morais Sarmento and finishing at Clube Futebol Benfica field. The main 10 km race has refreshment points at 5 km and at the finish, with a maximum duration of 2 hours before traffic is restored.
